APUA / ISAC Merger

ISAC is delighted to announce that the Alliance for the Prudent Use of Antibiotics (APUA) is now under the auspices of ISAC.

Following the retirement of APUA co-founder, Stuart Levy, ISAC was chosen to continue the well respected APUA brand and to lead its regeneration.  The Boards of the ISAC Antimicrobial Stewardship Working Group and APUA have merged to form a new APUA Board which will be chaired by Pierre Tattevin. ISAC will also continue to produce APUA's popular newsletter.

To launch the merger, a reception will be held during ECCMID in Amsterdam on 14 April 2019 from 17.00-19.00 at a venue adjacent to the RAI Conference Centre.

Abstract Submission Now Open!

ISAC invites all presenters to submit their abstracts for oral and poster presentations for the 31st ICC–4th GCCMID 2019.

Travel Grant Applications Invited

ISAC Young Investigator Travel Awards (YITA)
YITAs are given to ISAC Member Society applicants under 35 years old who are attending the 31st ICC-4th GCCMID. Successful applicants will receive 1,000 USD towards travel to Dubai and hotel accommodation as well as free registration.

ISAC Tom Bergan and John David Williams Memorial Awards
The two highest scoring abstracts submitted via ISAC's Young Investigator Travel Award application process from countries with limited resources will be awarded the Tom Bergan Memorial Award and the John David Williams Memorial Award.

ISAC Masaaki Ohkoshi Award
The Masaaki Ohkoshi Award is presented to the best clinical study on the subject of urinary tract infections published during a two-year period.
