We are pleased to bring you all the latest society news in ISAC's June newsletter.


There are only six weeks left to submit abstracts / apply for travel grants for the 31st International Congress of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy - 4th Gulf Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases in Dubai from 6-9 November 2019. ISAC member society applicants who submit an abstract and are under 35 years old are invited to apply for an ISAC Young Investigator Grant. Successful applicants will receive 1,000 USD towards travel to Dubai and hotel accommodation as well as free congress registration. The deadline is 1 August 2019 - submit now!

Journal Updates

We are delighted to announce that the Impact Factor for both IJAA and JGAR has increased!

Congratulations to both Jean-Marc Rolain, Editor in Chief of IJAA, and Stefania Stefani, Editor in Chief of JGAR, along with Sophie Barron and Simona Purcell (Scientific Assistants), on the impressive increase in Impact Factor for both IJAA and JGAR.

International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents
The IJAA Impact Factor has risen from 4.253 to 4.615 and it is now placed 15/89 in the Infectious Diseases category.

The JGAR Impact Factor has risen from 2.022 to 2.469 and is now placed 50/89 in the Infectious Diseases category.
