Emerging and re-emerging infections among migrants

Dr Androulla Efstratiou, Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Diphtheria & Streptococcal Infections, UK Health Security Agency, presented on diphtheria and other vaccine preventable diseases, while Dr Aula Abbara, a consultant in Infectious Diseases and General Internal Medicine at Imperial College NHS Healthcare Trust, London, who has worked in many humanitarian and refugee settings in the Middle East, reviewed drug resistant tuberculosis among refugees and migrants.
