 "Preventing Antimicrobial Resistance Together"
Today is the start of World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (18 - 24 November 2022). World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) is a global campaign celebrated annually to improve awareness and understanding of AMR and encourage best practices among the public, One Health stakeholders and policymakers, who all play a critical role in reducing the further emergence and spread of AMR.
The International Society of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (ISAC) is a federation of 95 affiliated Member Societies and it is committed to increasing the knowledge of antimicrobial chemotherapy and combatting antibiotic resistance around the world.
ISAC recently launched the ISAC Academy, an e-learning resource which hosts both ISAC and stakeholder educational material on the topics of antimicrobial resistance / stewardship and infectious diseases, most of which is freely accessible.

NEW E-learning module

"Respiratory Tract Infections: Vaccination as a tool for reducing AMR" This free module was developed by ISAC’s Immunisations and Vaccines Working Group, led by Dr David McIntosh and Dr Mario Ramirez.
It is designed to help healthcare professionals build their understanding of how vaccinations can help to prevent antimicrobial resistance in relation to respiratory tract infections, like pneumonia. Access the course here
Educational webinars ISAC has hosted numerous free educational webinars - watch the on-demand recordings:
