Mpox resurgence: navigating the next wave of the outbreak

On 14 August 2024, WHO declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) due to a sharp rise in cases in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and neighbouring countries, including Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda. This webinar aims to provide a comprehensive exploration of the recent resurgence of Mpox, focusing on the virology, ecology, and transmission dynamics of the new strain. It also brought together experts to share insights, discuss challenges, and propose strategies for more effective mitigation and preparedness.
