"The pandemic “goes away” but the real pandemic is here: Sepsis 2025"

In case you missed the live event, this important webinar highlighted sepsis as a persistent and serious global health challenge, far outlasting the COVID-19 pandemic. Hosted jointly by ISAC and the European Sepsis Alliance to mark World Sepsis Day, the event featured two expert-led lectures:
• Dr Ricard Ferrer explores the role of biomarkers and molecular diagnostics in sepsis care, questioning their real-world impact on diagnosis and outcomes.
• Prof. Evangelos J. Giamarellos-Bourboulis discusses the concept of holistic patient management, examining whether such an approach truly exists and how it can be implemented effectively.
Moderators: Dr Michael David and Dr Sabiha Essack.
Together, these sessions aimed to spark critical dialogue and drive innovation in the global fight against sepsis.
