ISAC Society Strengthening Grant applications - deadline 31 October

ISAC has launched grants to support and strengthen societies in ID / clinical microbiology. Two types of grants are available:

1) Pre-existing ISAC Member Societies to strengthen their activities.
2) To support the formation of new societies in countries that do not have a professional society.

The pandemic “goes away” but the real pandemic is here: Sepsis 2025

On demand

This important webinar highlighted sepsis as a persistent and serious global health challenge, far outlasting the COVID-19 pandemic. Hosted jointly by ISAC and the European Sepsis Alliance to mark World Sepsis Day, the event featured two expert-led lectures by Dr Ricard Ferrer and Prof. Evangelos J. Giamarellos-Bourboulis.

The role of infectious diseases and clinical microbiology professional societies

Medical societies are key players in education & advocacy — but are they fully leveraged in the fight against AMR?

A study by ISAC, ESCMID, APUA and ESGAP explores this question in an article published in JGAR (an ISAC journal).

The joint webinar by ISAC and ESCMID to present the findings was hosted recently - on demand recording is coming soon.

 

World AMR Awareness Week 2025 

 

ISAC will be compiling a list of useful activities / resources / events to promote World AMR Awareness Week 2025.
