The discovery of beta-lactamase encoding sequences in different organisms and also in humans and arthropods, has opened a new field of research of their roles, since these enzymes are multi-functional and have a very ancient evolution in kingdom of life.

Speaker, Professor Jean-Marc Rolain, Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents (IJAA), will provide some examples of such discovery, including new roles of these enzymes in different fields.

Email antiinfectives@ISAC.world with any queries.

Attendees will be able to request a certificate of attendance during the webinar.

The second webinar on "Insights of antimicrobial therapy in biofilm-associated infection: The clinical paradigm of Prosthetic Joint Infections" by Dr Jaime Lora-Tamayo will take place on 22 December 2021 - more details will follow soon.

Don't forget that you can watch all ISAC's previous webinars on the ISAC YouTube Channel.
