Call for abstracts

Abstracts are now invited for presentation at the 32nd International Congress of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (ICC) in Perth, Australia from 27 - 30 November 2022.
All accepted abstracts will be published in ISAC’s open access journal, the Journal of Global Antimicrobial Resistance (JGAR) (Impact Factor 4:035).

The deadline to submit is 5 July 2022
 

Young Investigator Travel Awards

Young Investigators who submit an abstract are encouraged to apply for a Young Investigator Travel Award (YITA). The applicant must be the presenting author. A number of awards will be made with selection based on the quality of the abstract. 

Two types of Travel Awards are available for young investigators to attend the ICC:

ISAC Young Investigator Travel Awards
ICC Young Investigator Travel Awards
  • ISAC YITAs are available to applicants from ISAC Member Societies outside the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Applicants must be under the age of 35 years at the time of the congress.
  • Awardees will receive 2,000 GBP towards their travel / accomodation and free registration.

  • ICC YITAs are available to all colleagues within the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Applicants must have received their PhD or MD within the last five years at the time of the congress.
  • Awardees will receive up to 2,500 AUD towards their travel / accomodation and free registration.

Tom Bergan and John David Williams Memorial Awards

The two highest scoring abstracts submitted via the ISAC Young Investigator Travel Award application process from countries with limited resources will be awarded the Tom Bergan Memorial Award and the John David Williams Memorial Award in memory of two former Presidents of ISAC.

Professor Tom Bergan served ISAC as President (1997-2001), Secretary-General (1989-1997) and Executive Member (1985-1989). His significant contributions included spearheading the establishment of the ISAC journal, International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents.
Professor John David Williams served ISAC as Associate Secretary (1977-78), Secretary-General (1979-89) and President (1989-93). He was the first Editor-in-Chief of the ISAC journal, International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents.
