The International Society of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (ISAC) and the Alliance for the Prudent Use of Antibiotics (APUA) are delighted to share the latest issue of the ISAC / APUA Newsletter to coincide with World Antimicrobial Awareness Week 2022.

The APUA Newsletter was first published in 1982, one year after APUA was founded under the inspirational leadership of Prof. Stuart Levy.

This issue contains three excellent feature articles:

  1. Duration of antibiotic therapy in Gram-negative infections: is shorter better?
Fatima Allaw, Sara F. Haddad and Souha S. Kanj
  2. Monkeypox: what do we know about treatment and vaccination?
    Helen Callaby
  3. Artificial intelligence in infectious diseases: is it real?
Sarah B. Nahhal, Sara F. Haddad and Souha S. Kanj

The newsletter also features a round-up of recent antimicrobial resistance and stewardship news, as well as ISAC society updates.

If you have any ideas for future content, please email secretariat@isac.world.
