Dear ISAC colleagues

We are pleased to bring you a round-up of ISAC's latest activities and what to expect in coming months.

ISAC Project Grants - deadline approaching

ISAC Member Society applicants can apply for up to £15,000 to fund research involving low- to middle- income countries (LMICs).

Applicants are required to demonstrate that ISAC funds will be utilised for a clearly defined piece of research, which will have an identifiable outcome on completion of the work. At least one applicant must be from a low- to middle- income country. Deadline: 1 September 2025.

ISAC Society Strengthening Grant applications

Following a global survey on the functioning of societies in Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, ISAC concluded there is a clear wish for societies to be better equipped to make a bigger impact than they do currently. In response, ISAC is launching grants to support and strengthen societies in this field. Two types of grants are available:

1) Pre-existing ISAC Member Societies to strengthen their activities.
2) To support the formation of new societies in countries that do not have a professional society.
