The 31st International Congress of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy - 4th Gulf Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Disease (ICC-GCCMID) was held in Dubai from 6 - 9 November 2019.

The ICC was held in partnership with the Saudi Society for Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (SSMMID) which organises the Gulf Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (GCCMID). The Co-Chairs of the congress were ISAC's President, Prof. Po-Ren Hsueh from Taiwan and Prof. Adel Alothman from Saudi Arabia.

Thank you to the organisers, the scientific programme committee, award winners and to all the delegates who travelled from all over the world to attend the congress in Dubai for making the congress such a success.

The Congress abstracts were published in the February issue of Journal of Infection and Public Health.
