Vilada Chansamouth is an infectious disease physician and senior researcher at the Lao-Oxford-Mahosot Hospital-Wellcome Trust Research Unit (LOMWRU), based in Vientiane, Lao PDR. She works as a government staff at the Microbiology Laboratory, Mahosot Hospital, under the Ministry of Health. Vilada has led hospital antimicrobial use surveys across Laos and played a key role in developing the country's first antimicrobial prescribing guidelines, both in pocketbook and mobile app formats. Her current research evaluates the impact of these guidelines in in- and outpatients across six hospitals in Laos.
