New Early Career Working Group

ISAC is looking for members to join its new Early Career Working Group.

ISAC already has 21 Working Groups on specialist subjects but this is the first that aims to support those in the early stages of their careers across various disciplines.

There has never been a more critical time for the next-generation of researchers / clinicians / clinical pharmacists in the field of antimicrobial chemotherapy to keep up with the novel techniques and ensure a timely response to current global health threats.

This Working Group aims to serve as a platform for communicating with senior researchers and provide young researchers opportunities to build long-lasting networks.

The group is Chaired by Jinxin Zhao (Monash University, Australia), one of ISAC’s Young Investigator Awardees. The 2020 ISAC Early Career Working Group Committee will comprise Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and ordinary members from around the world. Once the membership base is established, nominations for the additional leadership positions will be invited.

The criteria to join is as follows:

• Must be a member of an ISAC Member Society.

• Must identify as Early Career Researchers (either scientists or PhD in trainings, who are under the age of 35 or awarded PhD degree no more than 5 years) in antimicrobials or a related field.

We do hope this exciting opportunity will be of interest to your early career members. For more information, visit the website.
