New Executive members

Following the recent election, ISAC is delighted to introduce its three new Executive Committee members who, with their range of expertise, will make excellent additions to ISAC's international Board.
Dr Michael David is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania (USA) and a practicing infectious diseases physician. He has focused his research for more than a decade on the clinical and molecular epidemiology of Staphylococcus aureus infections. He is currently the Secretary of ISAC's MRSA Working Group.
Prof. Marco Falcone is full Professor of Infectious Diseases at the University of Pisa and Director of the Infectious Diseases Clinic at Pisa University Hospital (Italy). His research focuses on the clinical and molecular epidemiology of infections with multi-drug resistant (MDR) organisms, with the intent of translation of knowledge into optimal prevention and treatment of these infections.
To date he published more than 300 indexed articles, with a H-index of 56 (11-857 citations). He is member of the board of the Italian Society of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine (SIMIT) and Treasurer of the ESCMID Study Group for the Infections in the Elderly (ESGIE).
Prof. Katsunori Yanagihara is a professor and Chairman in the Department of Laboratory Medicine, Nagasaki University and Vice Dean of the Medical School at Nagasaki University Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. He is also a board member of the Japanese Society of Chemotherapy.
His major focus is on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and is interested in molecular detection testing of drug resistant pathogens and the development of newer antibiotics.
